I had mixed feelings about my stay at the Flower Market Hotel. On one hand, the location was excellent, allowing me to easily explore many of Amsterdam's attractions. However, the lack of proper facilities, like a lobby and air conditioning, left much to be desired.

Rooms
6.0
My room was clean and had a decent ensuite, but it lacked a window and air conditioning, making it quite stuffy. The bed was comfortable, but I felt cramped as it took up most of the space.
Service
5.0
Upon arrival, I noticed the service could be improved; there seemed to be miscommunication regarding reservations, which added stress. The staff were polite but didn't seem very accommodating during certain situations.
Location
8.0
The hotel is ideally situated close to major attractions and easy access to trams, making it really convenient for getting around Amsterdam. I appreciated being in an area filled with local life, away from the more tourist-heavy spots.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was quite basic but sufficient; I enjoyed the simple continental offerings, including bread, cheese, and cold cuts. It was good fuel for my day of exploring.
Facilities
5.0
I was disappointed with the lack of a common area to relax and socialize, as well as no elevator for luggage. The spiral staircase was a challenge, especially for anyone with mobility issues.

I had a mixed experience at the Flower Market Hotel. While the location was fantastic for exploring the city, with everything within walking distance, I found the room quite small and not as clean as expected. The breakfast was decent, and the staff were friendly, but overall, there were some issues that made my stay less enjoyable.

I loved the location. It was perfect for visiting popular areas like Dam Square and the Red Light District, all within easy reach.
Dining

Breakfast was nice, with a good selection of simple continental options. It was beautifully presented and offered plenty of variety despite the small dining area.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities felt limited, considering the hotel's small size. However, the availability of free coffee all day was a nice touch.

My stay at the Flower Market Hotel was quite a mixed experience. On one hand, the location was fantastic, right by the canals and close to many attractions. However, the noise from the nightclub next door really disrupted my sleep. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was enjoyable, but the room itself felt cramped and could definitely use some updates.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was tiny and not very comfortable, making it tough to keep my luggage. It could definitely use a revamp as it felt quite cramped.
Service
7.0
Upon arrival, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful with my initial questions, although I had some frustrations during my stay with management's response to issues.
Location
9.0
The location is excellent, positioned by the Singel canal and within walking distance to museums and the vibrant local atmosphere.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast was simple yet nice, offering a range of continental options that were included, which I found worthwhile.
Facilities

My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, providing easy access to major attractions, but the accommodations left much to be desired. The room was cramped, and cleanliness was an issue, with bugs present. Although the staff was friendly, the overall experience was marred by noise from a nearby nightclub and problematic facilities.

Rooms
5.0
The room was very small with minimal space for luggage, and I found bites that suggested a cleanliness issue. It felt cramped, and privacy was a concern when someone unexpectedly opened the door.
Service
5.0
The service started off friendly and helpful, which was great for my initial questions, but their absence during the night hours was concerning. I encountered challenges when I found myself locked out during early hours.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location was perfect, as it was within walking distance to attractions like the Anne Frank House and Dam Square, though the nearby nightclub contributed to late-night noise (drum and bass music until 4:30 a.m.).
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was decent, with a typical selection of bread, cheese, ham, and some fruit - it was good enough to start the day, though not really good.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were lacking, especially with issues like broken refrigeration in the rooms and virtually no Wi-Fi, which made my stay less enjoyable. The steep stairs were also a challenge.

I had a decent stay at Flower Market Hotel. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the sights of Amsterdam. However, while my room was basic but comfortable, I encountered some issues with the shower. Overall, it feels like a solid choice for budget travelers seeking convenience and comfort.

Rooms
6.0
My room was quite basic but comfortable with the bed being clean and cozy. However, I did experience some water drainage issues in the shower, which was frustrating.
Service
6.0
The staff was generally helpful; they fixed my shower issue quickly. But I did encounter a more grumpy staff member at breakfast, which impacted the overall experience.
Location
8.0
The hotel has an excellent location, close to many of the major attractions like the Rijksmuseum and Anne Frank's house, making it a perfect base for city exploration.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was modest but adequate, featuring bread, cheese, ham, and boiled eggs. It was a nice way to start the day without being too elaborate.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were basic, but I appreciated the free Wi-Fi and the availability of helpful maps and brochures at reception. However, the steep stairs could be a challenge for some travelers.
